UforUX
Bengaluru · Est. 2020

World-class design,
built for every
student in India.

UforUX is a network of fifty working designers — from NID, IIT and Nasscom — who run it themselves and show up for each other’s critique, referrals and studio work. Proof that studio-grade mentorship doesn’t have to be out of reach. Super10 is the first initiative to grow out of it.

UX Network · A milestone
2
50

Two people arguing about heuristics.
Now a room of fifty.

Metcalfe's Law
A network's value grows with the square of its members, not the count.
Dunbar's Number
We only ever added people we'd actually want in the room.
Norman's Signifiers
A good introduction signals exactly who's worth your time, not just who's online.

Started with one shared obsession. No growth hack. Just people worth staying for.

The problem

Most UX “communities” are a Slack invite and a newsletter.

Open community
Posts and reactions.
No one reviews your actual file.
Paid mentorship
One session, one opinion.
No follow-through after the call ends.
Meetups
One evening, once a quarter.
A talk and a coffee, then nothing.
UforUX
Fifty designers, weekly critique.
Direct referrals when work is on the line.
How the network works

One mechanism, four parts.

01
Membership by invitation
Existing members vouch for who joins next, which keeps critique honest and specific.
02
A standing critique cadence
Regular, small-group review of real work in progress, not portfolio showcases after the fact.
03
Referral, made deliberate
When a member is hiring or a studio needs a hand, the network is the first place they look.
04
Studio work as a network
Shared client and passion projects, staffed from within, credited to the designers who did the work.
Moments that shaped us

Borrowed from the movements, not just the trends.

Bauhaus
Form follows function — our critique format is a working tool, not a ritual for its own sake.
Dada
A little irreverence keeps critique honest — no idea is precious just because it's finished.
Neumorphism
Soft, tactile surfaces — the interface should feel handled, not just looked at.
Swiss Design
Grid, restraint, hierarchy — the reason our layouts never feel cluttered.
The Design of Everyday Things
“Design is really an act of communication, which means having a deep understanding of the person with whom the designer is communicating.”
— Don Norman
Principles we run by

The Laws of UX apply to how we run the network, not just to the work.

Jakob's Law
Members expect what good studios already do.
Our critique format borrows rituals people already trust, so no one relearns how to give feedback.
Hick's Law
Fewer entry paths, faster decisions.
Invitation-only membership removes the “should I apply?” search cost entirely.
Social Proof
Vouching is proof, structurally.
Every new member arrives already endorsed by someone the room already trusts.
Peak-End Rule
A critique is judged by its sharpest note and its close.
Every session ends with one clear next step, not a pile of scattered feedback.
Super10

Ten seats. One studio. Every year.
